EN 1279 has been in the background of the glass trade since 1988, when discussions began with a view to agreement on a common European standard for sealed unit manufacture. The early 90’s saw the passing of the law; Construction Products Directive (CPD), that covered a large range of building materials. In essence it says if a common European Standard exists for any product then it is legally binding to use it. Executive Windows continue to improve the quality of their products by constantly achieving success in gaining accreditations such as EN1279 our sealed units are independently testing annually, achieving EN1279 status.

FENSA are the leading body providing homeowner protection in the double glazing industry for windows and doors. In choosing Executive Windows, a FENSA double glazing registered company, you are protected when purchasing double glazing for your home.FENSA offer this protection by:

  1. Regular assessment of Executive Windows by an ‘independent inspection body’
  2. 5 – 10 year insurance backed guarantee available to you on every installation
  3. FENSA Building Regulations certificate dispatched direct to you for every registered installation as proof of compliance
  4. Your property will be compliant with Building Regulations without the added cost and time of arranging assessment by Building Control

As from 1st July 2013 all products manufactured by Executive Windows must carry the CE Mark. This guarantees that our products meet minimum European standards.We have not had to upgrade our manaufacturing processes or products as they have always met the standard required to receive the CE Mark. Executive Windows are fully approved to manufacture the full Liniar range of uPVC products, the process to become an approved fabricator is a tough process, regular quality control procedures within our own factory ensure that every item we manufacture is thoroughly inspected before it leaves the factory. Many double glazing companies nowadays buy their products from several sources, therefore the guarantee is limited with their manufacturer.
